As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in capturing high-quality medical images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise in operating radiographic equipment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient care will contribute to our mission of delivering innovative healthcare solutions and providing exceptional patient experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Position patients correctly to obtain the required images and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Review and evaluate radiographic images for quality, clarity, and diagnostic value.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and precise imaging results.
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Use shielding devices and protective equipment appropriately during imaging procedures.
  • Interact with patients in a caring and professional manner, explaining procedures and answering any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during imaging procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of radiographic equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and accurate interpretation of imaging results.
  • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field. Certification from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • Current and valid licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist in the state where Drakos Dynamics operates.
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification is advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a Radiology Technician, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and producing high-quality images.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
  • Empathy and a patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery.
  • Understanding of radiation safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Requires extended periods of standing during imaging procedures, ensuring proper patient positioning and image quality.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers for typing, data entry, and filing.
  • The Technician may need to assist patients in getting on and off examination tables, ensuring their comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Clear vision is necessary for reading and analyzing data, reports, and documents.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • Adherence to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), may be required to handle potentially hazardous substances or equipment.

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour
